RFY INTRO WORKSHOP
Rhythm for Youth enables teachers to facilitate rhythm programs for youth ages 5-18. Learn essential techniques for facilitating rhythm events for your classroom and community. This RFY workshop is a three-hour preview of the techniques and tools presented in the weekend-long training. Plenty of drums provided, personal percussion instruments welcome. Recommended for teachers, youth educators and facilitators. Participants’ feedback about the training: http://www.rhythmrhythmrhythm.
After a five year mentorship, Cameron Tummel & Lucas Coffey have used their complementary skill sets to create a series of weekend trainings designed to give youth educators the tools and confidence to create and maintain their own rhythm programs.
Facilitator and trainer Lucas Coffey is the executive director for sold-out artist-in-residence “Rhythm Rhythm Rhythm” drumming program in Alberta, and has facilitated rhythm events for more than 20,000 youth in North America. www.rhythmrhythmrhythm.com
