We’re Coming to Calgary! Book Your Free Residency Demonstration

Our Artist-in-Residence drumming program, which continues to sell out year after year, is heading to Calgary for the very first time!

Last year, we worked with over 10,000 students, staff, and parents to develop community and leadership through music in Northern Alberta. To celebrate our expansion into Calgary, we are offering a limited number of completely free drumming demonstrations for local schools.

We invite your students and staff to get a firsthand look at a program that educators are calling:

Demo Week Details

We are offering these free demonstrations to give your school a completely risk-free opportunity to experience our artist-in-residence program up close. We know that every school’s culture is unique, and we want to show you exactly how our programming can align with your specific needs. By working directly with two different groups of your students—one younger and one older—we get to demonstrate the versatility of our teaching artists, ensuring you can see firsthand how seamlessly our residency fits into your classrooms before making any commitments.

Dates: March 30th – April 2nd
Availability: Only 8 demo slots available! (These will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis).
Duration: Each demo slot accommodates two classes (approximately 30 students each) for 45 minutes per class.

What Do You Need to Host a Demo?

To ensure a successful and engaging experience, we ask that hosting schools provide:

A genuine interest in bringing an Artist-in-Residence program to your school.
A room conducive to a 30-person circle (unobstructed and flat).
Two classes willing to participate in the demonstration (typically one older and one younger)
30 chairs.
A few student helpers (Gr. 4-9) to assist with loading and unloading equipment.
A member of the parent council and school administration is available to attend the demo.

Demo Requirements*
- Can accomodate a residency on any day between March 30th & April 2nd
- Your school is looking for a residency.
- Your school has at least 150 students.
- Your administration and/or parent council can attend the demo.
- Your administration and/or parent council is available to meet immediately following the demo.
- You have a flat, unobstructed space conducive to a thirty person circle
- You have thirty chairs without wheels or arms.
- You have students that can help us unload and load drums before and after the demo.
Please indicate whether you are able to meet the requirements for the residency demo.
